SLIPKNOT Bassist To Play On DEATH Tribute CD

SLIPKNOT's Paul Gray has reportedly expressed interest in contributing bass tracks to the upcoming DEATH tribute album currently being put together by former DEATH/TESTAMENT guitarist James Murphy, ex-MALEVOLENT CREATION/SUFFOCATION drummer Dave Culross, ex-MALEVOLENT CREATION vocalist Brett Hoffmann and CKY guitarist Deron Miller. "James has told me that Paul wants to be involved," Deron told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "The other details are being worked out right now. Brett is learning the songs, James is making deals with studios and I'm on tour with CKY at the moment." Recording for the album is set to begin in August, with the effort tentatively set to surface in early 2004 through an as-yet-undetermined label.

In other news, Miller has been working on compiling a MALEVOLENT CREATION "Best Of" CD containing 17 tracks from the group's three Roadrunner releases. The album, which will feature liner notes by Deron, is expected before the end of the year.
